FAST WEB IMAGES
This free browser-based PNG to WebP converter creates modern WebP files without installing software. PNG is excellent for crisp graphics and transparent images, while WebP can make them much smaller for websites. Use Balanced for a smaller file that still looks clean, Lossless when the image must look exactly the same, and Preserve Transparency when your PNG has a transparent background. Your images stay on your device and convert directly in your browser.
FOUR QUICK STEPS
Choose one or multiple .png files, drag them into the converter, or paste images from your clipboard.
Select Balanced, Smaller File, or Lossless mode. Transparent backgrounds are detected and preserved by default.
Click Convert. Your images stay on your device while the browser creates the WebP files.
Download each converted image or save the full batch as a ZIP.
CONVERT MANY FILES
Convert multiple PNG images to WebP at once. Add several PNG images, use one WebP setting for all of them, and download everything together as a ZIP file. This is useful for logos, product images, screenshots, icons, and website graphics.
HIGH-QUALITY OUTPUT
PNG keeps image detail by default, so the right WebP setting matters. Use Lossless mode when the image must look exactly the same. Use a WebP quality setting around 80-90 when you want a much smaller file with visually similar image quality. After conversion, the tool shows the original size, WebP size, saved percentage, dimensions, quality, and transparency status.
Quality 85 can slightly change the image while making the file smaller. Lossless WebP keeps the image exact, which is best for logos, screenshots, icons, and text-heavy graphics.
TRUE LOSSLESS MODE
PNG keeps image detail by default. WebP lets you choose either smaller files or exact-quality conversion, so each image can use the setting that fits it best.
Best for logos, icons, graphics, screenshots, and images with sharp text or flat colors.
Recommended for most web images when you want smaller files that still look clean on modern screens.
Compare before and after sizes for every file, then download individual results or the whole converted batch.
TRANSPARENCY STAYS CLEAN
WebP supports transparent backgrounds, so transparent PNG backgrounds can stay transparent after conversion. This matters for logos, stickers, icons, overlays, product cutouts, and graphics that need to sit on different page colors. If you need the reverse workflow, use the WebP to PNG converter.
If your PNG already has a white background, the WebP will keep that white background. This tool does not remove backgrounds.

REDUCE FILE SIZE
WebP images can make pages lighter and faster to load. Smaller image files are especially helpful for image-heavy landing pages, ecommerce pages, documentation, dashboards, and mobile experiences.
Actual results vary by image and compression mode. Keep original PNG files as editable sources and use WebP for live web pages.
