RASTER TO VECTOR
Use this WebP to SVG converter to turn raster WebP images into scalable SVG vector graphics. Instead of wrapping the original image inside an SVG file, the converter recreates shapes, colors, and edges as editable SVG artwork.
HOW TRACING WORKS
WebP is a raster image format, so the source file is made from pixels. Converting WebP to vector means recreating the image as shapes and paths. This tool finds color regions, simplifies small details, and creates an SVG that can scale cleanly.
FIVE QUICK STEPS
Choose one or more .webp files, drop them into the converter, or paste an image from your clipboard.
Start with Logo, Illustration, or Detailed Image depending on the source artwork.
Tune colors, detail, smoothing, transparency, and advanced tracing options before converting.
Compare the original WebP with the scalable SVG output at 100%, 200%, 400%, or 800%.
Save each SVG, copy the SVG code, or download all converted vectors as a ZIP.
VECTOR CONTROLS
Start with the Logo preset for icons, badges, and simple brand marks. Use Illustration for flat artwork, or Detailed Image when you need more colors and a closer match to the original WebP vector result. The best settings depend on whether you want a compact editable SVG or a more faithful trace.
Fewer colors, more smoothing, and fewer paths for clean editable SVG output.
Balanced detail and smoothing for cartoons, stickers, and flat artwork.
More colors and higher detail for complex graphics that need visual fidelity.
Choose Auto, 2, 4, 8, 16, or 32 colors to control file size and SVG complexity.
PRACTICAL TUNING
Most WebP to vector results improve when you make one adjustment at a time. First choose the preset, then tune colors, then adjust detail and smoothing while checking the before and after preview.
Lower color counts create smaller SVG files with fewer paths. Use 2, 4, or 8 colors for logos and icons; use 16 or 32 colors when the WebP artwork needs more shading or color separation.
Higher detail preserves more small shapes, corners, and edge changes. Lower detail creates a simpler SVG that is easier to edit, share, and use online.
More smoothing turns jagged pixel edges into cleaner curves. Less smoothing keeps sharper corners and can be useful for pixel art, geometric marks, and technical graphics.
Increase noise removal when a WebP file has tiny dots, rough edges, or visible WebP artifacts. Keep it lower when small details are important to the final vector.
Higher simplification reduces the number of shapes in the SVG. It is useful for clean web icons and lightweight graphics, but too much simplification can soften distinctive shapes.
Use Transparent when the source WebP has cutout artwork. Use White when you want transparent pixels flattened into a white-backed SVG.
FORMAT DIFFERENCE
WebP to SVG is a vectorization process, not a lossless format conversion. Raster images do not contain the original editable artwork, so the tool recreates an approximate vector version.
BEST SOURCE IMAGES
Convert WebP files when the image has clear edges and a limited color palette. Photos, gradients, and complex textures can be converted, but they usually create larger SVG files with more paths.
Logos, icons, line art, simple marks, and flat illustrations usually produce the cleanest editable SVG vector output.
Cartoons, badges, stickers, simple web graphics, and screenshots with strong edges can work well after tuning colors and smoothing.
Photos, soft gradients, shadows, and complex textures may create many paths and a larger SVG file than the source WebP.
EXPECTED RESULTS
A WebP to SVG converter cannot recover the original editable artwork from a raster file. It creates a new vector approximation, so the source image style has a major impact on how editable, compact, and accurate the SVG will be.
Use Logo preset, 2-8 colors, high smoothing, and transparent background for brand marks, icons, badges, and simple line art.
Use Illustration preset with 8-16 colors for cartoons, stickers, diagrams, product graphics, and artwork with clear color regions.
Use Detailed Image and 16-32 colors when visual fidelity matters more than file size. Expect more paths and a larger SVG.
A photo can be vectorized, but the output becomes blocky or poster-like color shapes. It will not recreate the original camera image as a lossless vector.
LOGOS AND ICONS
If you downloaded a WebP logo from a website and need an editable version, convert it into SVG for resizing, printing, Figma, Illustrator, Inkscape, design files, or web projects. Use fewer colors and higher smoothing for a cleaner vector logo.

Yes. You can convert WebP to SVG online directly in your browser. Your images are processed locally and are not uploaded to our servers.
Yes. The converter turns colors and edges into editable SVG shapes and paths instead of embedding the original WebP image inside an SVG wrapper.
Yes. Logos, icons, badges, line art, and flat illustrations are usually the best images for WebP to SVG vectorization.
Yes. Keep Preserve Transparency enabled to leave transparent WebP areas transparent in the SVG vector output.
Yes. The downloaded SVG contains editable paths that can be opened in Figma, Illustrator, Inkscape, code editors, and web projects.
SVG stores the converted artwork as shapes. Detailed images, many colors, gradients, and texture can create a more complex SVG, which may be larger than the compressed WebP file.
Start with the Logo preset, keep colors low, use higher smoothing, preserve transparency, and increase path simplification until the logo still looks recognizable.
Photos are made from continuous tones and fine detail. WebP to SVG conversion approximates those tones with color regions, so photos often become stylized rather than photorealistic.
